Gekko Bar, Broome, W.A.
It was fantastic to start our tour with such a bang. We always head up to Broome, especially this time of the year, playing there. We always get such a warm welcome. Warm being the operative word. It was fairly hot up on stage. As you can see from some of the photo's. Watch out for young Harry Jakamarra. He opened the night for us with his younger brother Bert and local Didge icon, Paul Boon. A great start to the night. We look forward to having Harry on a few more gigs with us in the future. We had a such a great turnout. Around 260 people came to hear some of the new songs which went down a treat. We had such a brilliant time playing the new songs and especially so when we see some very dedicated fans in the audience mouthing lyrics to the new songs. They can't have had the album for more than 1 week! Very impressed. Big thanks to Kelly for all her help with putting on the show. We look forward to coming back up to our second home (we have a few seconds homes now! Broome, Albany, Freo, Melbourne, Tassie! we are starting to feel at home everywhere!) and playing another show - hopefully later in the dry season. Thanks Broome! Can't wait to come back.
Kununurra
We are very sorry to our Kununurra (hereafter called KNX) fans for not making it there this tour. We had some last minute logistical nightmares that made it impossible to get us and our gear to KNX on time. But we can assure you that we are negotiating a trip in the coming weeks and we will make it up to you!
